had a lovely stay at the limes hotel! the room was so warm and cozy, and we got tea and coffee facilities which was a nice touch. brekkie was delish, really fresh and they had a good selection of stuff. the owners are super friendly and helpfull, felt right at home. walking along the river to the city center was a lovely bonus too.
only issue was a bit of noise from the street at times. also, it would’ve been nice to have more options for breakfast.

Great location for easy access to the racecourse. Ample parking was a bonus. The host made us feel welcome and shared great local dining recommendations. The cleanliness of the room was a plus, and it felt comfortable overall. the shower lacked hot water, and there was a lack of breakfast options. The absence of staff and a bar was noticeable, which didn't match the expectations for a 4-star hotel. It’s clear the place needs some updates and more attention to guest amenities.

Great location for accessing local attractions easily.
I faced several issues during my stay at The Limes Hotel. The room was very dusty, with stains on the towels and dirt in the en suite bathroom, making it uncomfortable.

pleasant stay but room could use better cleanliness
The hosts were incredibly welcoming, adding a personal touch to our experience. Breakfast featured a delightful selection, particularly the fresh poached eggs that stood out. The location provided easy access to town, with a lovely riverside walk as an option. It’s evident that they prioritize guest comfort.
The room had some cleanliness issues that detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Super comfy and very welcoming
We had a long drive, but Paul was amazing and let us check in late. Our room was nice and tidy, and having daily housekeeping was a plus. The lounge area had a cool vibe, perfect for unwinding. On the downside, there was a bit of noise from the street, so I’d recommend earplugs.

The breakfast was incredible, especially the poached eggs. Daily housekeeping was a real bonus, but I wish the Wi-Fi had been more reliable.

Just an ideal choice for a short interlude in York with fantastic value for money. The breakfast was good, especially the bacon. Try to ask for a room away from the road to avoid some noise.

Recommend it for couples seeking comfort
Had a lovely breakfast,, friendly staff made us feel at home. The bed was so comfy, it felt like we were sleeping in clouds.
It wasn’t the cheapest, but still worth every penny.
